Atlantica’s main activity today is to develop new projects. Atlantica aims to acquire vessels with long-term commitments to first class charterers and take a major part of the equity and act as the owner and the commercial manager of the project. In addition, we are always trying to invest in a counter cyclical manner, i.e. invest in ships while the markets are generally depressed.
Together with its partners, Atlantica has a number of vessels in its portfolio. Atlantica also undertakes third-party commercial management for other owners. Some of Atlantica’s managed fleet is engaged on long-term charter parties while other Atlantica vessels operate in the spot market or ship cargoes as part of a contract of affreightment.INTERNATIONAL SEA FREIGHT
